What’s New and Different?
TimTam has really put an emphasis on improved technology in their newest massage gun as V2.0 is expected to boast a variety of features that are new to the massage gun market.
Some of the groundbreaking features users can expect are heated tips on their attachments that can be manually turned on or off, an injury sensor, GPS tracking, a quieter motor, 3 speed functions, 5 unique massaging programs and a compatible app.
The most notable improvement in the Power Massager V2.0 is that it will operate much quieter than V1.5. At an anticipated 60db or less operation, this is a significant improvement from the previous model and will align with the noise level of the Hyperice Hypervolt.
In terms of new technology in the percussion massager space, TimTam is pulling out all the stops with the addition of automatically warming tips. This feature can be manually turned off. However, this feature is sure to add a level of comfort that will allow for a deeper and more relaxing massage.
Tim Tam has also incorporated GPS Tracking technology to provide an added peace of mind for users who have invested several hundred dollars. In the event that your percussion massager is lost or stolen, you will be able to track it down via the tracking capability. We imagine that this technology will also communicate with the companion app that TimTam has eluded to.
The Power Massager V2.0 is expected to be equipped with an injury sensor which will prevent users from massaging areas too long and causing damage. This feature will work by using a skin temperature sensor to help identify overworked areas. However, for areas that aren’t injured, users can take advantage of one of the 5 included massage programs. Users will be able to choose between deep tissue, recovery, scraping, cupping, and needling.
Lastly, users will see an improvement in terms of the speed functions the Power Massager V2.0 is capable of. Previous versions allowed only one speed, but the 3-speed function of the new device will allow users to target different areas with different speeds. The speed variability will bring TimTam into the conversation with the Hypervolt and the G3Pro in regard to this feature.
While the new gamut of features is ceratinly an impressive undertaking for the Power Massager V2.0, we feel TimTam missed the mark on not including various attachments with this model. While we anticipate their previous attachments will still be compatible, not including them gives the G3Pro and the Hypervolt a leg up in this area as both of these companies have elected to include multiple attachments out of the box.
Other features that users of the previous versions will see continue in V2.0 is the 90-degree rotation of the head, allowing the user to massage hard to reach places such as the back or behind the legs. Users can also expect a similar size and weight to this massage gun, which comes with TimTam’s standard round therapy head.
