Morph Collapsible Foam Roller Review

A foam roller can be an incredible tool when it comes to an athlete’s warm-up or recovery routine. Many people love to use foam rollers between workouts to help alleviate soreness and break up the fascia. It’s a tool that can be loved by some and hated by others. For those that enjoy foam rolling and reap the benefits, having a foam roller handy can be a life saver. The problem is, most foam rollers are somewhat bulky and not the easiest to transport as they don’t easily fit in a backpack or duffel bag. Even smaller foam rollers that may fit in a bag, take up much more room than they should because they are a rigid cylinder. That’s where a company that goes by the name Brazyn comes in with their Morph collapsible foam roller. This roller is designed to be lightweight and easy to transport with its small footprint. Below we’ll take a look at the device in further detail and provide our overall thoughts at the end.

What is the Morph?

In it’s simplest form, the Morph is a collapsible foam roller. True to it’s name, this roller has the capability to “morph” from a flat piece of foam and plastic into a sturdy and effective cylindrical foam roller. It is arguably one of the most versatile, and most travel friendly foam rollers on the market.

The Morph comes in two varieties, the Alpha and the Bravo. The Alpha is designed with a nub shaped design to target a deeper tissue massage on knots. The Bravo is a smoother surfaced roller and is less intense than the Alpha. The Alpha has a firm density foam, whereas the Bravo has a low-density foam.

What comes with the Morph?

The Morph comes with the roller itself and it also comes with a mesh carrying bag. The mesh bag has a side handle and a drawstring for closure. The carrying bag is large enough for the Morph to fit inside it whether it is collapsed flat or expanded into a cylinder. The tool also comes with a mobility booklet, which provides suggested uses for the roller to target different muscle groups on your body.

How do you use the Morph?

To “activate” the foam roller, you simply pull two rings attached to string on either side of the tool. These strings pull out the plastic support discs that give the roller it’s cylindrical shape and provide the overall support to the device. So much support that it’s able to support up to 350 lbs. As you pull the strings, ensure the internal plastic discs are fully pulled into place before utilizing the roller.

To flatten the roller, you simply push on the top half of each plastic disc on each end of the tool. As the discs collapse into the center of the roller, the roller goes flat. Once flat, the Morph easily fits into any backpack, duffel bag, carry-on, oversized purse, or suitcase. It’s also TSA friendly, so no worries if you plan to fly with it.

To roll on the Morph, simply utilize the tool as you would any other foam roller.

How big is the Morph?

The morph is the same size as a standard foam roller. When expanded, it’s diameter is 5.5 inches and it’s length is 14.5 inches. When collapsed, it’s narrower than two folded t-shirts. It weighs just 1.5 pounds.

Where can I buy the Morph?

The Morph is available on Amazon or directly from Brazyn.

What accessories are available for the Morph?

It’s hard to believe that a foam roller would have accessories, however the Morph has plenty of components that can elevate your rolling experience. These accessories allow you to customize your roller to meet your style and your needs.

Morph Skins

Morph Skins are covers for your Morph roller. They are easy to take on and off and provide a convenient way to keep your Morph clean. Custom fit, washable sleeves protect your Morph from grime. Though the Morph is rugged enough on its own, Morph Skins allow you dress your roller up from time to time.

Morph Extension Kit

The Morph 30″ Roller Extension Kit provides a quick and simple way to combine two Morph foam rollers into a single, 30-inch foam roller so you can incorporate even more movements into your foam rolling regimen.
