Trigger Point GRID VIBE Plus

The GRID VIBE Plus is the newest vibrating foam roller from TriggerPoint. This vibrating foam roller is the next generation of the popular GRID roller and GRID VIBE vibrating roller. This precision engineered vibrating roller combines vibration and foam rolling to provide a faster, more efficient and effective recovery.

Whether you’re looking to improve your range of motion or simply wanting a tool to help you feel less sore, a foam roller is a great item to add into your workout, warm-up, or recovery routine. The addition of vibration will add to the effectiveness of your rolling and is something everyone should consider when shopping for a new foam roller. The roller relaxes tight muscles, improves flexibility, relieves pain and elevates your recovery with it’s combination of foam rolling and vibration.

One of the most popular rollers among runners, the GRID VIBE Plus roller comes highly recommended by many users. Below we take a look at some of the aspects that make this roller so great!

Portability

In terms of portability, the VIBE Plus is one of the more portable rollers out there. At 12″ in length and 3.5″ in diameter, this roller is very compact and easy to travel with. Most other vibrating foam rollers are in the range of 18″ long and 5-6″ in diameter. With it’s smaller size, it would fit well in any gym bag, carry-on, or suitcase for those looking to travel short or long distances. This compact vibrating roller acts like a personal masseuse on the go! In terms of vibrating foam rollers, it is on the lighter side at 2.5 pounds, which makes it easy to carry with one hand if you aren’t looking to pack it in a bag.

Versatility

The GRID VIBE Plus is calibrated with four vibration frequencies, which is on par with most of it’s competitors in the vibrating roller space. The four frequencies offer a blend of pressure and vibration of the user’s choice to release tight tissue and relieve pain. The patented GRID surface pattern replicates the feeling of a massage therapist’s hand’s to help promote blood flow, improve oxygen flow, and heal tissue. The pattern on the roller features three different areas with a “high & firm” area to mimic the finger tips, a “tubular section” to mimic the fingers and a “low & flat” section to mimic the palms. When the vibration is turned off, the GRID VIBE Plus is still as firm as the original GRID foam roller.

The varying speeds of the GRID VIBE Plus make it ideal for anyone looking to foam roll after running, weightlifting, climbing, yoga, hiking, biking or any active activity! TriggerPoint recommends using this roller on your lats, thoracic spine, quads, and IT bands. If you don’t want as intense vibration you can set it to one of the two lower settings or if you are really trying to increase blood flow while getting a great myofascial release, you can select one of the two higher vibration settings. At 70hz, this roller can really shake!

Battery Life

The GRID VIBE Plus is cordless, but comes with an AC charger that allows you to charge it’s built-in, rechargeable battery. With a full charge, the roller will hold up to 2 hours of battery power. The battery life is dependent on the level of vibration frequency that the roller is set to (higher frequency use may result in a shortened charge life). It is not recommended that the device be used while it is charging.
