JAWKU is a company that didn’t get its start in the massage gun space, but they are certainly not new to it. They are probably more well known in the fitness and athletic industry for their tech products such as their JAWKU Speed timing device. Their newest massage gun, the Muscle Blaster V2, is the second iteration of their original Muscle Blaster. The V2 is drastically different looking than it’s ancestor, with a very unique look and vibrant color. Below we take a look at a few unique features of the device and answer a few common questions that potential buyers may have.

What Makes the JAWKU Different From Other Massage Guns?
Shape and Design
The JAWKU Muscle Blaster V2 has a very unique shape. While it may look similar to other devices we’ve reviewed, such as the Hypervolt, it is the only device we have seen that has an intentional 15% lean. This angle is designed to make the device more ergonomic and easier for the user to reach hard to reach spots on their back.
Noise Level
This device is very quite. There are not many massage guns on the market that are as quiet as this one. While many of the newer devices on the market have come up with motors and housing to combat this noise, there are still not many that are able to maintain power and minimize noise – the JAWKU V2 is one of them. It is not quite as quiet as the Hypervolt in terms of decibels, but the average user will not likely notice a major difference between the two.
Stall Force
The JAWKU V2 has a stall force on the higher end of the massage gun scale coming in at 56 pounds. This device is right in line with the top massage guns on the market, which helps to ensure the device does not stall out when used in an aggressive massaging manner with a lot of force.
Battery
While a non-removable battery may not be ideal for most, the device has a continuous-use battery life of approximately 4 hours. This is on the higher end of battery lives when compared to other massagers on the market. The JAWKU offers 4 LED battery level indicator so you know when the device is getting close to needing a charge. Competitors battle this by offering removable batteries so that second, fully charged, batteries can be on hand to always have a charged device available. The device comes with a charger for the built in battery.
Color
While not necessarily a factor that will matter to most, it is really the only massage device that we’ve seen that comes in a bright orange color. Most other devices are black, white, or silver. The bright color certainly helps it stand out and may attract more attention from those around anyone using it!

Today, I will be reviewing the Jawku Muscle Blaster V.2.
Best Massage Tech’s YouTube channel
Out of the box, it does come with a carrying case. It’s got a nice handle. It’s got two zippers, and everything you need with the device fits inside this case. So taking a look at inside, you’ll see everything there. It is kind of nice. They’ve got a little ribbon here so you can easily pull out the device. This is what it looks like. I’ll go ahead and put an attachment in.
This is the Jawku Muscle Blaster V.2. Pretty unique looking. It does kind of look a little bit like the Hypervolt, but the one thing I want to point out right off the bat is it has a 15-degree angle. I’ll see if I can hold it straight so you can see that angle there, so really unique in terms of shape. I’ve not seen any other massage gun that has that little bit of an angle. This device does have an amplitude of 16 millimeters, so similar to the Theraguns, you’re going to have the head moving 16 millimeters away from the device.
It has a stall force of 56 pounds, so it’s quite up there in terms of stall force with some of the other massage guns. I’ve mentioned in my other videos I like an aggressive massage so 56 pounds is a pretty good stall force. It’s slightly less than the G3PRO and the Hypervolt, but it is higher than the Theragun G3. Theragun G3 is about 40 pounds stall force.
It is a five-speed device. The slowest speed is going to come in right around 1,400 percussions per minute. The highest speed will be right around 3,200 percussions per minute. In order to change the speeds, just on the top of the device, it lights up in which speed you’re going to be using there. It does have a built-in lithium-ion battery. Continuous use of about four hours, so that’s going to depend and vary on what speed you’re using it, how often you’re using it.
It does have a 10-minute automatic turn off, so if you’re just really going and getting really comfortable or if you happen to maybe fall asleep while you’re using it for some reason, I don’t know why, but it will turn off after 10 minutes. You’ll have to start it back up.
What’s nice about the battery on the device is there is an LED indicator light on the top as well. There’s four different lights just to display what your current battery charges at, which is important when you don’t have a removable battery, you want to make sure, if you’re going to be taking it on the road or something, you’ve got a fully charged device. Each light I would say is probably 25% of the battery, so once it gets down to that last light, you want to make sure you’re charging it back up.
Speaking of charging, it does come with a charger. Charger just plugs right into the bottom really easily. Plug it in the wall, and again, it will light up once it’s charging. It does come with four different attachments. In here right now, I have the ball attachment, and this attach very easily. You just press them in and out, and we also have a fork attachment, a flat attachment, and a bullet attachment, so pretty common attachments there. Again, they do go on and off pretty easily. This ball one is a little bit different. The other four are plastic. This is kind of a… maybe like a softer material of some sort. Little bit more give to it, so pretty nice.
I mentioned the five different speeds. The noise level on this is really quiet. I would say it is quieter than the Theragun G3PRO. On the lowest end, you’re going to be about 55 decibels. On the highest end, about 67 decibels, so right in the range of a Hypervolt. I will just turn it on here. To turn it on, you press and hold the power button for three seconds, and it comes on. This is at its lowest speed. I’m going to go ahead and put it at the highest speed just so you can hear the noise. Pretty quiet. You can definitely have a conversation with this device. The stall force, it’s not going to stall with good amount of pressure there, which is great.
The one downside I would say. It’s great that it has the angled handle, but it is not adjustable. It’s the one thing that I mentioned about the Hypervolt that I don’t like just… It limits the device in terms of how you can use it, but the 15-degree angle is really nice for being able to get all different parts of your back a little bit easier than some of the other devices that are affixed 90 degrees.
It’s really easy to move around with one hand, weighs in about 2.2 pounds, and yeah, like I mentioned, it’s a really, really impressive device. I’m looking forward to continue to use it, and I’m a bit behind now in my ultimate comparison video because there’s a lot of devices that are about to come out or currently have come out, so keep an eye up for a new ultimate massage gun comparison video, but that is the Jawku Muscle Blaster V.2, and that’s a review.
