It’s been a while since we found a massage gun that really impressed me. As we’ve reviewed over 25 massage guns in the past year, they all start to blend together in our minds as they all seem to try and copy each other. That is until we came across the Addaday BioZoom, which made an impact in our minds. Below we share a bit of the information we learned about the BioZoom.
What Are The Biozoom Specifications?
The Addaday BioZoom has some of the highest rated specifications of the massage guns reviewed on our site. The device has a stall force of 70 pounds and a stroke length that actually varies based on the speed level. On the lowest speed it is a 13mm stroke length and on the highest speed it’s 16mm. How Portable Is The BioZoom?
This massage gun is very portable. The device itself is less than 2.5 pounds, which makes it easy to handle and travel with. Additionally, the device comes with a very sturdy case, which allows it to be be transported in even the most rugged of scenarios.
What Makes The Biozoom Different From Other Massage Guns?
The BioZoom is unique for a few different reasons.
Attachments
Not only does this device have some of the most playful names for it’s attachments, it also has the absolute most unique attachments we’ve see in the massage gun space. Both the offset length fork of the Ms. Fascia and the octagonal shape of Mr. Torch are attachments we have not seen on any other device. This allows for a unique massage experience that you will not find with another device.
Speed Adjustment
Many devices have their speed-adjustment switch and their power switch in less-than-ideal positions. The great thing about this device is the speed adjustment acts like the trigger on a gun and is conveniently located under the pointer finger of whichever hand you use.
Case
The Addaday BioZoom comes with the most sturdy case we’ve come across of all massage guns. It is the only hard-sided case with metal handle and latches we’ve seen. So over the past year I’ve reviewed a lot of different massage guns and in reviewing all of those devices, you start to see a pattern. You start to see the same cases, a lot of features and functionalities that are very, very repetitive among the different devices. So, when I came across the Addaday bio zoom, I was pleasantly refreshed to see somebody that’s finally taking a different approach to the massage gun, and looking like they’re taking it serious, and wanting to do something right with their product.
So to start, we’re going to take a look at, obviously the case itself is very industrial strength. They put a lot of thought into it. You’re not going to be able to beat this thing up at all, the cases is going to take all the damage. It’s got a metal handle, two metal latches. It has rubber feet on the bottom and on the back side so you can set this case anywhere and it’s not going to damage the table or anything that you’re setting it on.
And even from the functionality of the packaging, you can really see there’s a lot of thought put into it. It does have some instructions and things. This snaps onto it, but it also has a magnetic front to it with some different instructions and how to use it, how to massage. So really you can tell that there was a lot of form and functionality just put into the case, in the packaging alone, which like I said, is really refreshing to see. A lot of the devices you start to see the same foam Eva case, again, just a lot of repetitive stuff in the massage gun industry.
So, I’m going to start by taking a look at what does come inside this case. I’ll talk a little bit about the functions and features of the device and why I really, really like it, because this truly is one of the best massage guns I’ve seen in a long time.
So inside the case you do have the massage gun itself, a charging cord, and five different attachments. And forewarning, the attachments themselves are just as unique as the case in the device as well. So I’m to spin it around here just so you can see inside. So you do have the device itself. It comes with a charging cord, which just to charge it, you just need to plug it right in the backside here, plugs in real easily, plug it in the wall. It does light up while it’s charging.
And then the five different attachments that it comes with, the most noticeable is happy they call it, which is a round ball. Bubbles, which is a smaller round ball. Naughty, which is a bullet head attachment. Miss fascia, which is a smaller fork attachment, but you’ll see they’re different Heights on the different forks there. And then lastly one that they call Mr. Torch, which is kind of like a, I want to say an octagon, but it’s definitely a lot more sides than that. It looks kind of like a soccer ball, so a lot of different surfaces there. So super unique attachments on it as well.
I’m going to go ahead and put naughty inside of it. And so this device, again I am very impressed with it. It does have an extremely high stall force, 70 pounds. It’s right up there with the top massage guns on the market in terms of high stall forces. It has a stroke length that actually varies based on the speed. So on it’s low speed, that’s going to be about 13 millimeters, and on the high speeds that’s going to be 16 millimeters. Does come with the five attachments that I mentioned. It is not adjustable, so the fixed angle, this is what you get at 90 degrees.
It is a five speed device. And what I really like about this device is how easy it is to turn on and how easy it is to change the speeds on it. And so with the five different speeds, it’s going to start at 20 Hertz going all the way up to 60 Hertz, which is low end a 1,320 percussions per minute, all the way up to 2,880 percussions permanent. But to turn the device on, you just press the square on the back of it. The device does light up then. And then to get it to go, there’s a blue trigger on the front of it. You just squeeze that once and it’ll start. And just to change the speeds, you just squeeze that trigger again. Really easy and it’ll cycle all the way up to the fifth speed and then it’ll turn off. And to turn it back on you just press it again.
It does have a two hour battery life when using it on the average of level three. The battery is 2,600 milliamps, and they do recommend that you charge it for eight hours prior to the first use. And the battery is removable, so to remove the battery you just need to press this button on the side. And it is a little bit difficult to remove, but once it is out, you know it’s a few times to loosen it up. But once it is out it is really easy to put back in. Just line it up, press it back in. So if you’re going to be traveling with it and you don’t want to take the whole device, you know you can just pull the battery out, which is a favorite of mine.
The noise level on this is extremely quiet. I’m going to estimate that this is probably somewhere around 55 decibels on its highest speed, and I’ll actually measure it here and overlay at what that actually is. I wasn’t able to get the measurement in before starting this video. But this is on the highest speed and you can clearly tell it’s super quiet. I would say it’s probably equally as quiet as the hyper volt, which is one of the quietest ones on the market. So you know, definitely not going to interrupt anybody. You can use it in a public setting, use it on a plane. Really enjoy your massage and relief in peace and quiet.
It obviously does come with a case. You saw it at the beginning, this extremely sturdy case. You know, probably one of the best features that I’ve seen. I know it’s just a case, but it really makes it feel like it’s something really important. And when I’m carrying this case, I feel like I should have a pair of handcuffs on and be carrying a case of money almost is what it looks like. So, really cool there.
The price point is fantastic. You can get it for $250 right now, which is incredible for the quality of this device. It does have a 10 minute auto shutoff, so if you’re going to be massaging it for more than 10 minutes, it’ll automatically turn off and you’ll need to turn it back on again.
It does come with a two year warranty, it comes with this little warranty card. But this one is extremely impressive, and out of 12 points possible, this is the new highest device at 10.5, previous highest was the Theragun G3 Pro. Now just because it does have that really high score doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s my overall favorite. It just means that when I’m comparing everything on a level playing field, this has received the highest score. But that being said, I’ve only used this for a few days. I’ve used the Theragun G3 Pro for almost a year. So I’m a little bit partial to that one. But, I have a feeling that this one might become my new favorite, because everything considered, they’ve put a lot of thought and quality, and their customer service has been fantastic and just interacting with them. And they’ve got a fantastic a library of videos on their YouTube channel just showing how to use the different attachments. It’s with a chiropractor, so you know it’s somebody that knows what they’re talking about.
