Achedaway is a company that has not gotten a lot of attention so when we came across their device we decided to check it out. You may have seen their device on social media as they have actively been reaching out to influencers to increase their brand awareness. The company’s only device listed on their website is their Percussion Massager, which comes in two different colors (pink or black).

The Achedaway is self-described as a cutting-edge massage device that uses percussive vibration to improve the body’s overall performance. The massager is manufactured using the industry’s leading components.

As with all the massagers we review, we wanted to get our hands on it to check it out first-hand. Below we take a look at the device and some of the features.

What Are The Achedaway Specifications?

The Achedaway massager is a multi-speed device that allows the user to change between 5 different speeds. Those speeds range from 1,500 percussions per minute up to 3,250 percussions per minute. Achedaway provides their recommendation for each speed level from 1-5:

1 – wake up muscles (1,500 percussions per minute / 25Hz)
2 – fascia release (1,900 percussions per minute / 31 Hz)
3 – eliminate lactic acid (2,400 percussions per minute / 40 Hz)

This device is all powered by a long-lasting, built-in, lithium-ion battery. Achedaway states this battery will last up to 5 hours on a single charge depending on the speed level being utilized. The average life is 3 hours. The body of the device is sturdy and durable as it is made from aluminim alloy. The Achedaway features an automatic shut-off which activates after 10 minutes of use. This is a feature that is becoming more popular in massage devices as it helps prevent over-use. Lastly, the massage head itself has a stroke length, or amplitude, of 10mm and the device is capable of withstanding a stall force of 44 lbs – which puts it on the higher end of massage guns in terms of stall force.

The cushion head attachment, which we are calling it because it is not listed on their website is a bit unique compared so some other devices we’ve tested with similar attachments. This attachment actually slips over the top of the flat head attachment. Even though it is not it’s own attachment, it still functions great and doesn’t slip off!

How Portable Is The Achedaway Massager?

The Achedaway is certainly an easy device to transport around. It is relatively light weight at 2.5 pounds and comes with a convenient carry case that zips up and has a handle. The one (very small) downside of the device is that the battery is not removable. So if you are looking to fly with the device, you’re going to need to take the entire device with you onto the plane.

How Is The Achedaway Different From Other Massage Guns?

Speeds

The Achedaway offers 5 variable speeds. This is three more than the Theragun G3Pro and two more than the Hypervolt. We aren’t saying that five speeds is absolutely necessary, but if you are someone that likes the opportunity to have some variety in your massage, it’s certainly a nice feature to be able to utilize.

Battery

While the battery life is advertised as 5-hours (which is longer than most), Achedaway says the average run time is closer to 3 hours. One difference with the power source of the Achedaway is that it is not removable. Therefore, you will not have the opportunity to have a secondary battery on-hand and you will need to remember to always charge your device after use.

Automatic Shut-Off

After 10 minutes of continuous use, the device will turn off. Not many massage guns on the market are equipped with any sort of self-timer such as this.

Operating and Charging The Achedaway

The following text is directly from the user manual of the Achedaway Percussion Massager.

OPERATING
To power the device ON, simply move the power switch on the bottom of the battery to the ON positions. To power the device OFF, easily move the power switch to the OFF position.
When the power switch is in the ON position, press the power button once to switch the device into the level one mode, twice for level two and three times for level three. In the same way, you an adjust to levels four and five. Holding the power button for two seconds will turn the device OFF at any level. The blue LED lights will indicated the corresponding power level.
Please place the power switch in the OFF position once your massage is completed.
Massage the desired body part at the desired speed applying pressure as needed.
The product has a built-in protection apparatus that will automatically stop the massage when it’s running time exceeds 10 minutes.
CHARGING
Fully charge the device for up to three hours before your first use to ensure the best performance.
To charge the device, connect the DC end of the supplied 24V adapter to the battery’s charging port and plug the AC cable into wall outlet.
With the charger attached, LED lights on the unit flash to show battery level and indicate active charging.
A full charge is indicated when all LED lights stop flashing and remain fully illuminated. Battery can be recharged at any time and at any battery level.
It is not recommended to fully deplete the battery to the red LED level.
The average run time is over three hours depending on the speed level and pressure applied during use.
